The Jean Monnet Chair “EU Budgetary Governance and Audit” of the Univesity of Macedonia participated, on March 5th & 6th, 2021, in the e-Conference "Social exclusion, vulnerable groups and the new EU Social Rights Pillar", co-organized by the Jean Monnet Project “Enhancing the Debate about Intercultural Dialogue, EU Values and Diversity- EU VaDis”, and the Centre of International and European Economic Law (CIEEL). The Chair’s participation consisted of a presentation made by the Chairholder, Professor Dimitrios Skiadas, on the topic “The interaction between the EU budget and the EU Social Rights Pillar” which entailed an analysis of the financing mechanism of the implementation of the EU Social Rights Pillar, i.e. the European Social Fund+ (ESF+), as this is being formulated within the context of the new Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027. The Chair would like to thank Assoc. Professor Mrs Despoina Anagnostopoulou, scientific responsible for the EU VaDis project, for the invitation and the fruitful cooperation, which will be continued.
