Mr Panagiotis Liagovas, Professor at University of Peloponnese and Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Centre of Planning and Economic Research”, delivered the 5th Jean Monnet Chair Guest Lecture
The Jean Monnet Chair "Budgetary Governance of the EU and Audit" of the University of Macedonia continues, for the academic year 2019-2020, the Guest Lectures Scheme, having as Guest Lecturer Professor Panagiotis Liargovas (from the University of Peloponnese) who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Centre of Planning and Economic Research. On 20.11.2019 Professor Liargovas analysed, before a large audience of undergraduate and postgraduate students, the development and the procedure of economic governance within the EMU framework, the impact of this governance on the Greek Economy and the various reflections and proposals put forward during this period, in the academic discourse, regarding the improvement of this system. Following his lecture, Professor Liargovas replied to questions by students, thus providing a very useful and fruitful procedure of academic dialogue and exchange of views.
